The Queue Manager can be installed as part of your initial Poser installation using the Full Installation (Windows) or Easy Install option (Mac). Your Poser license allows you to install the Queue Manager on up to three computers. The Queue Manager is installed with Poser, and the Poser license allows you to install Queue Manager separately on up to two additional computers. Refer to Licensing Queue Manager for steps on how to register Queue Manager on remote computers.
You can install just the Queue Manager on remote systems by following the instructions below:
When you install Poser, it will also install the necessary files for Queue Manager that you need on the installation computer. The separate Queue Manager installer is intended for remote nodes that you want to use for rendering. You will receive a warning message if you try to install the separate Queue Manager installer on the computer that has Poser installed.
When using Queue Manager, you will need to use matching versions on all computers. If you have multiple versions of Poser installed on your master computer, you should also install the related versions of Queue Manager on your remote computers. Versions will be considered to match if the Poser version and subversion number are the same. Different build numbers in a subversion are acceptable. For example, version 12.0 and 12.1 do not match. But versions 12.1.140 and 12.1.168 do match, because both are different builds of version 12.1.
Queue Manager works with licensed versions of Poser only. It will not run on a trial version.
