Along with the other features included in the Poser Pro 11.3 update, the base male figure, L'Homme, became a stand-alone figure and La Femme was updated.

L'Homme was originally created as a morph of the base female figure, La Femme. But we soon found that Poser users preferred a stand-alone figure.

"We listened to your requests to provide a more streamlined manner in creating content for both the female and male figures," said Jenn Blake, who led the development efforts behind L'Homme and La Femme. "This makes him easier to work with and create content for."

As a stand-alone figure, L'Homme for Poser Pro 11 contains improvements on previous Poser figures and includes a variety of textures, advanced facial expressions, and more. He includes highly detailed texture maps and hybrid materials that work in both FireFly and SuperFly.

Despite the changes, scenes created with the original L'Homme morph for La Femme will still work. They can still share morphs, textures and poses.

La Femme v2

Because of the changes, La Femme has been updated along with L'Homme. Now that L'Homme is a stand-alone figure, La Femme didn't need to have male morphs, so that dial has been removed. 

Other improvements were made to JCM transfer and performance; face morphs; additional expressions; and body, hand, mouth and eye morphs. A high-resolution Clothing DEV and Dress DEV rig were added.

L'Homme and L'Homme's advanced rigging is designed to make them easy to pose, including realistic hand and foot posing. It also gives Poser's star couple the ability to be sculpted with Poser's scaling and body control handles. They include a variety of textures, advanced facial expressions, and more. La Femme and L'Homme include highly detailed texture maps and hybrid materials that work in both FireFly and SuperFly.

The Poser installation contains these BASIC non-morph versions of both figures.

PRO versions of both are available for purchase at Renderosity.com. These are anatomically correct and have morphs and more texture options including Procedural, PBR and SSS shaders along with Refracted Eyes.

L'Homme Pro has been created by Gabriel Creed (Blackhearted), M. Peters (Letterworks), Denise Tyler (Deecey), and Rhiannon Morrigan (Rhiannon).

NVIDIA RTX Support

NVIDIA’s RTX 20 Series GPU cards simulate the physical world at high speeds. RTX GPUs are able to render photorealistic objects and environments in real time (with accurate shadows, reflections and refractions) because the Turing architecture uses AI, ray tracing, rasterization, and simulation SDKs.

Cycles already supports a range of hardware types, including options for both CPU and GPU rendering. But the RTX GPU will significantly reduce render times and increase render quality.

Improved Library Search

Poser 11.3 will improve the local library search experience by changing the logic used when multiple search terms/words are entered. The local library search will now function more like a how a search engine works in that it will utilize "AND" versus "OR" logic when multiple search terms/words are entered.

Auto sync of purchased content

We have developed an in-app download process that will automatically download and install purchased content. Users will now have the ability to login to their Renderosity accounts through the Poser Software interface. They can download purchased items and install from within the program. No need to leave Poser to install an item needed for the project they are working on.

Hundreds of Smaller Bug Fixes

Additional features and fixes are: various issues related to Catalina on Mac, added the ability to remove missing runtimes, updates to Windows Component Libraries (Python 2.7.17, latest FBX and Alembic export formats), La Femme updates in preparation for release of stand-alone L'Homme figure, faster loading of default scene load time by using PMD, plus hundreds of bug fixes.

Poser Pro 11.3 is a free upgrade for those with a Poser Pro 11 license.
