Again the choices were difficult in the "Wish We Were There" Create With Poser Contest.
"We wanted you to use art to share how the global pandemic as impacted your lives," said Michelle Willard, marketing manager for Poser Software. "We have been quarantined along with everyone else and have been fantasizing about what we wish we can do once the stay-at-home orders are lifted."
We gave away free copies of the Let's Work Bundle and Back to School Bundle for you to use in creating scenes of what you would rather be doing or a place you would like to visit. The bundles include scenes of classrooms, along with office and retail spaces.
You gave us a variety of options from which to choose, making our collective decision a difficult one to make.
First Place
The winner of a free license for Poser 12 when it is released is Janet Parker-Bourne for her render of a hotel waiting room.
Janet Parker-Bourne's submission garnered the most votes because "everything works together to tell a story," Judge Andy Boys said.
"Technically, it's a very well done piece. The color choices were such that no one gets lost in the busy background, but neither does anyone look out of place. The shadows are consistent with the windows. The poses are lifelike, and it's a whole lotta eye candy," Boys said.
For Judge Jenn Blake, it was the use of shadows that got her vote.
"The little gnomes, the shadows, how the sunlight coming through the window is blinding the one little gnome in the center of the image. It's just very creative," she said.
Second Place
For his piece titled "First Day at Work after Lockdown," Klaus Brandt, who goes by the handle ArtFantasy3d on Twitter, was awarded second place.
Third Place
We had a tie for third place between EmmE and Jura Kerleha. EmmE's "Stay?!... I SuperFLY!!!"
Jura Kerleha render of a woman in a clothing store received the same number of votes. We could decide so both were awarded with third place.
Honorable Mentions
We also had so other great entries that were creative, well-designed and the source of discussions. Here are the honorable mentions that deserve recognition.
Stay tuned for more contests in the future.
